We are delighted to announce that Adam Blighe, Finlay Thomson, Niall Brady, Sam Brooks, Leo Galvin, Luke O’Gorman, Londiwe Ndlovu, Regan Maher, Rachel Trimble, Princess Graham, Anna McWey, Doireann Walsh, Molly Hickey and Denise Harding have been selected as Local Champions for their constituencies.

Contract for Services: Evaluation of Certificate in Global Youth Work and Development Education
NYCI is seeking tenders from qualified people to independently evaluate the Maynooth University NUI Certificate in Global Youth Work and Development Education, which is a Level 8, Special Purpose award delivered in partnership by the National Youth Council of Ireland and the Centre for Youth Research and Development at the Department of Applied Social Studies in Maynooth University.

Letterkenny Youthreach awarded Bronze Health Quality Mark
Letterkenny Youthreach was awarded a Bronze Standard Health Quality Mark (HQM) by the National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI) in recognition of their work on health promotion for young people.

Local Champions announced
On 18 May 2023 North-South Youth Work Sector Practice Development Hub hosted a one-day conference to demonstrate and increase understanding of the value and contribution of a youth work methodology to meeting the developmental and well-being needs of LGBTQI+ young people across the island of Ireland.
