I have some great news to share, John.
With your help, our campaign was able to surpass our online fundraising goal for the month of July. We could not have done this without you, John, and I’m so appreciative to have your support.
From the start, our goal was to build a true grassroots campaign fueled by the people of this community. In my view, the way we power this campaign should reflect the type of representative I plan to be in Congress.
I’m not doing this for special interests or the corporate PACs. This is about putting our district first in everything I do, and listening and learning every step of the way.
Speaking of listening and learning, I wanted to share a special photo from the campaign trail. Last month in Washington, I had the honor of meeting with former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords -- a gun violence survivor and gun violence prevention champion.
I’ve heard from many people across the district that the gun violence epidemic needs to be addressed. It was enlightening to talk to Gabrielle about the path toward workable solutions. I look forward to sharing them with you when I see you on the trail!
