John, Donald Trump has just been indicted by a grand jury in the Department of Justice’s investigation into his attempts to overturn the 2020 Election. We’re holding rallies all across the country at 5:30 p.m. local time tomorrow (August 3), the day Trump will be arraigned, to show that the American people support holding him accountable. Our message is simple: We’re rallying in support of accountability for Trump and his allies. We condemn any attempts to shield Trump from facing justice — no American, not even a former president, should be above the law. We’re calling upon the Secretaries of States to disqualify Trump and his allies from running for office for inciting an insurrection under Amendment 14, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution. And the threat to our democracy is far from over. Local, state, and national leaders must pass legislation to defend our freedom to vote and protect election officials.
