John,
In less than one week, Ohio voters will head to the polls for an August special election that could decide the fate of abortion access and citizen-led ballot initiatives in the state.
On the ballot is Issue 1: a Republican-backed ballot measure to raise the threshold for voters to amend the state constitution from a simple majority of 50% — to an arbitrary supermajority of 60%.
This measure was designed to strangle democracy and preemptively kill a separate initiative set to be considered this November to codify abortion rights into the Ohio constitution.
It is a shameless power grab that sets a dangerous precedent — and it needs to be rejected.
Can you chip in to help us mobilize as many voters in Ohio as possible before Tuesday, and to keep fighting for abortion rights everywhere.

Ohio is just one of several states in the country where Republican lawmakers are working to make it harder for voters to amend their state constitution, in large part to derail efforts to protect abortion rights and access in a post-Roe world.
Republicans know abortion bans are massively unpopular among voters everywhere. And they know they can’t win unless they rig our government for GOP corruption.
But we know our movement to secure abortion access in the Ohio constitution can win — and that starts with organizing voters to defeat the legislature's attacks on democracy next week.
Chip in now to power WFP’s get-out-the-vote program in Ohio. Every voter we connect with between now and August 8th can make all the difference in this election.
In solidarity,
