Monthly General Meeting!

Next Thursday, August 8, is our montly general meeting. Houston DSA’s monthly general meetings are where the membership comes together to be in community, discuss the activities going on within our own chapter and the national DSA, and conduct chapter business like elections, votes, or resolutions.

Of special relevance this month will be the DSA National Convention that just concluded! Delegates will be giving a report back to y'all. Please make it out to hear about what our comrades across the country have worked for this weekend!

We work to make our meetings as accessible as possible to everyone. To help working parents, we offer child watch through our Socialist Sprouts program. If you need someone to watch your potty-trained and vaccinated child, let us know!

Medicare for All Canvass of CD-07

As part of our fight for Medicare for All, we are demanding Representative Lizzie Fletcher co-sign HR 1384, Pramila Jayapal's Medicare for All bill. We are canvassing her district Sunday, August 11. If you are interested, come join us at Briar Meadow Park (7703 Richmond Ave) at 10 Am. Bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and the determination that we will win Medicare for All!
