Summer has just flown by, and the L.A. Unified school year begins in less than two weeks. Our College Access team is excited to welcome the 9th grade high school cohort to our Fulfillment Fund College Access Program. Starting to think about, and plan, for college early and maintaining a solid relationship with our Counselors is pivotal to keeping our students on track toward the road to college.

Our College Success team hosted a peer mentor meetup earlier this month, celebrating mentors from the last school year. It’s essential for us to continue connecting with our students, throughout high school, college, and as they become alums. Our community is our foundation, and we are incredibly proud of our students' progress and determination to achieve their dreams.

As some of our students are about to step onto campus for the first time, our returning college students prepare to go back to class. Starting the new semester in the right direction is a priority for our Advisors; helping students decide on their major and ensuring they are taking the correct courses are just a few ways we support our students during this momentous transition.

Ready for College Summer Institute Session 2

Cheers to our last Ready for College Summer Institute of the season ending August 4th! Students will meet with our College Access team to gain a deeper insight into what is needed for the college application season. Keeping our students ahead and well organized will increase their motivation while helping to alleviate as much of that pre-college application stress, leading them down the path to a successful application process.
