I’ve been touched by reading all of the birthday wishes you have sent to me. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

When Trip and I seriously began discussing a Senate run last spring, we knew that running against an opponent with the president’s personal backing would be tough.

But it was tough running for office for the very first time, in a Central Georgia city during the Tea Party wave of 2010. We won that race, and it’s helped to prepare me for what was to come as I’ve traveled our state for the last ten months.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many of you on this campaign, and I so deeply appreciate the work you are doing to make this campaign a success. I’m looking forward to meeting more of you, and represent you in Washington.

We are going to win this for you, and for all of us who are pouring our hearts and souls into righting the wrongs that have been done by this administration. For our immigrant neighbors, our children, our seniors, and working families. For our planet. All of us. We’re in it together.

Thank you again. I’m more encouraged now than I have ever been before. Let’s go.
