We stay busy on multiple fronts here at Issue One as we continue our work to fix our broken political system and build an inclusive democracy that works for everyone.
We want to make sure we’re keeping you — the Issue One community — in the loop about all of that work and the progress we’re making. Here’s some of what happened in July:
National Council on Election Integrity members former Amb. Tim Roemer (D-IN) and former Director of Intelligence Dan Coats (R-IN) wrote a column about the need for increased election funding to enhance cybersecurity protections and defend our national security.
As part of our Faces of Democracy campaign, we’ve been sitting down with election workers from across the country to highlight them and the work they do to administer elections. Check out the most recent interview with Josh Daniels, a former county clerk from Utah! Learn more about the campaign which aims to win regular federal funding for elections and bolster protections for those who run them.
In addition, Faces of Democracy members spoke to local media in Maine, Washington, and other states about the urgent need to protect and fund U.S. elections.
