I want to hear from you!
Have you ever had to pay a junk fee? Junk fees are hidden or surprise charges often added right at the end of transactions -- and they cost American consumers tens of billions of dollars each year. Junk fees are frequently found in industries such as banking, utilities, cell and cable service, travel, rental application fees and live concerts -- but they can crop up just about anywhere.
I am working to put an end to these unfair practices, and I need your help.
Click here to share your own personal stories of encountering junk fees and join us in fighting back.
Several of my colleagues and I are collecting powerful stories that reinforce the need for action, and this is where you come in. If you’ve run into surprise fees when buying tickets online, family seating fees, early termination fees, surprise resort fees or apartment rental fees, we want to hear from you.
President Biden himself has expressed his determination to tackle this issue. In his State of the Union address earlier this year, and again just a few days ago, he made clear his commitment to banning junk fees, even saying “Americans are tired of being played for suckers.”
Junk fees are nothing more than a tax imposed by greedy corporations, and it's time to fight back.
Thank you for your participation and for being a crucial part of this important movement. Together, we will ensure a fair and transparent marketplace for all Americans.
