appreciative I am of everything you’ve done for this campaign up to this
point.

But I’ve got some less-than-stellar news: We came up short of our July
fundraising goal.

We didn’t miss the mark by much, but we’re going up against a
multi-millionaire who doesn’t need to ask for money, so every single
dollar we don’t raise hurts that much more.

Coming up short hurts our ability to communicate with the voters we need
to win.
