It's time to demand that the Senate take action.
Everytown for Gun Safety

John—

Yesterday, we got the news of the tragedy in El Paso, Texas. And this morning, we learned of more tragedies, including shootings in Chicago that killed at least three and wounded dozens, and a mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio that killed at least 9 people and wounded 27.

Every shooting is a tragedy. Too many communities feel the pain every day of having loved ones killed, wounded, and impacted by gun violence. And it's far too easy for those motivated by hate to get armed and terrorize a community, as we saw yesterday in El Paso, and have seen time and again across our country.

One thing is clear: it's past time for the Senate to take action.

Demand that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and your U.S. Senators pass life-saving gun violence prevention bills. Tell them to pass background checks on all gun sales, and a strong Red Flags law that will help prevent gun violence tragedies.

Today, we must honor all those impacted by gun violence with action. We must recognize the tragedies in Texas and Ohio, as well as the tragedies that occur across our country every single day. We must let our leaders know that we expect them to take action to prevent gun violence tragedies.

DEMAND ACTION FROM THE SENATE

Today, our hearts are with the communities once again struck by acts of hatred and violence. But we can also take action to make sure our lawmakers hear our outrage, and know our message: We demand action.

Thank you for all you do,

Rob Wilcox
Deputy Director of Policy and Strategy
