As you may know, I voted to pass the PACT Act, which President Biden signed into law last year. Thanks to the PACT Act, Veterans who were exposed to certain toxic substances, including burn pits and Agent Orange, during military service may file a claim.   
 
Below, you will find more information about key deadlines, eligibility, and how my office can assist you or your loved ones with this process.

Wednesday, August 9, 2023, is the last day to notify the VA that you intend to file claim and receive up to a year of backdated benefitsThat’s less than a week away! 
 
Remember, you don’t need to submit a full disability claim by August 9, just your intent to file a PACT Act claim.  
 
Enrollment will be free until October 1, 2023, for Post-9/11 combat Veterans who separated or discharged between September 11, 2001, to October 1, 2013.
