Earlier this month, we witnessed a historic moment in the history of the U.S.-Israel relationship.
On Wednesday, July 19th, nearly the entire Congress came together to celebrate Israel’s 75th anniversary and hear Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s address to a joint session. This powerful speech came just hours after 412 House members stood together to send a powerful and unequivocal affirmation of America’s support for Israel and the U.S.-Israel alliance.
The repeated standing ovations for Herzog make clear Congress’ overwhelming support for the Jewish state – a testament to our work together.

Palestinian leaders continue to pay families of terrorists.
In recent months, there has been a dramatic increase in terrorism against Israelis from the West Bank. Dozens of Israelis have been killed or injured since January alone.
The Palestinian Authority pays roughly $170 million annually to terrorists and their families through its horrific pay-for-slay program.
These payments allow terrorists to earn more than double the average salary of a Palestinian in the West Bank.

Radical members of Congress are attacking and demonizing Israel
We've seen a rash of new comments from members of Congress demonizing Israel.
Earlier last month, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), outrageously called Israel a "racist state."
Later that week, the anti-Israel “Squad” boycotted Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s historic address to Congress in a further display of anti-Israel hatred.
And just last week, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) introduced an anti-Israel amendment that would dangerously politicize and jeopardize vital security assistance to our ally Israel.

Over the past year, we’ve seen the threats facing Israel grow, as Iranian-backed terrorist groups increase their aggression against the Jewish state.
Fortunately, thanks to your support, this month the House and Senate advanced key pro-Israel funding that will help keep Israel safe from these growing threats.
The House and Senate passed several bills to provide Israel with $3.3 billion in vital security assistance with no added conditions, $500 million for missile defense cooperation, $47.5 million for joint anti-tunnel cooperation, and other pro-Israel provisions to strengthen the U.S.-Israel partnership.

Take action to counter the Iranian regime
The Iranian regime is funding terrorism against Israel and around the world, providing deadly drones for Russia’s war in Ukraine, and continuing to advance its ballistic missile program, which is already the largest in the Middle East. America and our allies must take action to increase the pressure on Iran to counter this growing threat.
AIPAC is currently lobbying Congress to pass the Fight CRIME and MISSILES Acts, which will help counter the Iranian regime’s deadly ballistic missile and drone programs by extending international sanctions.
