We, as a Missio Alliance team, are ready and honored to facilitate the Why Stay ([link removed]) retreat this October. Join us in Malibu for a first-ever opportunity to connect with the Missio Alliance team in an intimate environment. We are eager to hold space for you as you process and discern, and we’re thrilled we get to do so in the beautiful setting of the Serra Retreat Center ([link removed]) .
Lisa Rodriguez-Watson ([link removed]) is an author, public speaker, pastor, and urban minister. Justin Heap has worked with dozens of churches as a consultant, designer, pastor, and coach. Sarah Schepens ([link removed]) has an incredible background that reaches across languages, nations, and cultures for a unique perspective on leadership and navigating transitions. Chris Kamalski ([link removed]) is a Strengthsfinder coach and a certified spiritual director, having recently received his doctorate in spiritual formation from Portland Seminary.
In addition to our core team, we are excited to bring in a couple of Missio Alliance friends. David Nishizaki is a proud multiracial, multicultural, and multilingual leader who has lived overseas, worked in various church and ministry settings, and is an SDI facilitator and trainer. Stay tuned as we hope to add others to our retreat team who are spiritual directors and counselors, and who will contribute their own unique expertise to support your experience at Why Stay.
