Dear Friend,

Every month of the year, I’m focused on fighting for South Jersey. From hosting my 6th Annual Constituent Services Fair to introducing a bill to raise the minimum wage, here are some of my highlights from July!

Helping You

  • I assisted 84 constituents in getting passports in time for travel despite unprecedented backlogs at the Passport Agency.
  • I helped 397 constituents resolve issues with federal agencies and get connected with federal resources.
  • I hosted my 6th annual Constituent Services Fair, connecting over 600 constituents with resources and services from over 100 federal, state, and local agencies and nonprofits.

Community Connections

  • I welcomed Cherry Hill’s Rabbi Steven Lindemann as my guest for Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s address before a joint session of Congress. It was the first time in 36 years that an Israeli president has come before Congress, and I was glad to have a local leader with me to witness the historic occasion.
  • I announced $19 million in federal funding to expand and improve the Camden County LINK trail.
  • President Joe Biden invited me to join him at the Philadelphia Shipyard to promote offshore wind investments in South Jersey and announce a new project that will bring thousands of jobs to our region.
  • I attended the Roland Traynor River Stage Dedication at Wiggins Waterfront Park in Camden.
  • Representatives from New Jersey’s Hannibal M. “Killer” Cox Jr. Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen visited my office to discuss the history and legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen.
  • I joined my brothers and sisters in labor at the annual conference of the New Jersey Building and Construction Trades Council.
  • My team attended the Gloucester County 4-H fair in Mullica Hill and the Emanuel Baptist Church Fellowship Dinner in Glassboro.

Fighting for South Jersey

  • I led a bipartisan letter to stand up for my constituents’ right to collectively bargain for safe working conditions and fair compensation.
  • I introduced the Tax Fairness for Workers Act to allow workers to deduct union dues and other employee expenses from their taxes.
  • I joined colleagues to introduce the Raise the Wage Act to increase the federal minimum wage for the first time in 14 years.
  • I introduced legislation to help us transition to renewable fuels, while strengthening our energy security and supporting union workers.
  • I joined colleagues to introduce the Rebuild America’s Schools Act to rebuild, repair, and sustain America’s schools, while creating over 2 million jobs across the country.
