You know what today is, don’t you? It's Colorado Day! Today, we celebrate the spirit and beauty of our beloved state and its admittance into the Union in 1876.

It’s hard to imagine just how far we’ve come. Over the last few decades alone, Colorado has shown our resilience and innovation. We’ve made strides in renewable energy, established ourselves as leaders in technology and aerospace, and taken critical steps to grow our economy. We have shown that economic growth and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand, with our booming outdoor recreation industry serving as a testament to that belief. It’s why folks from across the country and world want to visit and move here – both for our incredible outdoors and way of life.

However, there are some in Washington who have a contrasting perspective. They endanger our economic growth, threaten our public lands, and undermine the very spirit that makes Colorado unique.

Now more than ever before, friend, we need to step up and protect the essence of Colorado. This Colorado Day, can we count on you to contribute to our critical work and help us keep Colorado moving forward rather than rolling back the clock?

Our progress as a state is a collective effort, and that's something I've learned well on my journey from running a small business to serving as a Mayor, then as Governor, and now as Senator. I've got to say, friend, working with you over the years has been an absolute privilege.

This Colorado Day, let's commit ourselves to keeping at it and making Colorado even more incredible in the years to come!
