As I begin another busy week in Washington, DC, I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional district, and our country as a whole:
The Constitutional case to impeach Mayorkas
The crisis at our southern border has raged on for two years too long, causing havoc and destruction for migrants, Americans and the rule of law. When faced with this reality, Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas repeatedly lies about having “operational control” of the border. Just last week in a Congressional hearing, he refused to own up to his failure and would not acknowledge public data revealing the record-breaking chaos on our border. It’s past time Congress impeached Secretary Mayorkas.

I stand with Texas
The Biden administration has turned a blind eye to what is happening at our southern border. That’s why Governor Abbott and local law enforcement have stepped up to protect the people of Texas. The president’s response to Texas' efforts? Sending the Department of Justice (DOJ) to sue Texas for doing the federal government’s job. This is ridiculous. The DOJ should be assisting Governor Abbott, not making his job harder. I stand with Governor Abbott and local law enforcement as they rightfully defend the people of Texas.
