Dear Friend,
The first full month of summer was filled with incredible community events and celebrations across our district. The start of parade season has made getting my daily steps in a breeze.
At the Salem Fair, I had the pleasure of catching up with folks from all over the district. At one of the largest fairs in Virginia, you never know who you’re going to run into…
We live in the greatest country in the world and Independence Day is a great excuse to turn the patriotism up to 10. I have a blast celebrating at the Happy Birthday America Parade in Staunton and the Clover Hill 4th of July parade. Witnessing the pride and patriotism on display was truly inspiring.
I also had the privilege of attending the reciting of the Declaration of Independence at Court Square in Harrisonburg, reminding us of the significance of Independence Day and the values that unite us as a nation.
I can’t emphasize enough how important it is for Republicans to win a majority in the State Senate and maintain our majority in the House of Delegates. I recently hosted a fundraiser for Eric Zehr, who is running to represent parts of the old Sixth district and include Bedford, Campbell, and Pittsylvania Counties. His dedication to our community and conservative principles makes him an outstanding candidate.
I was also honored to support one of our great Delegates in the Roanoke Valley, Joe McNamara at his "Swinging with Sinatra" event. Joe does great work in Richmond advancing the conservative cause.
This month, the Central Region GOP Picnic in Augusta County provided an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow Republicans. Additionally, Celebrate Rockbridge in Lexington showcased the unity and strength of our community. It was inspiring to see so many people come together to support this event.
As fair season kicks into high gear in the coming weeks, I look forward to seeing you out and about as we support our community!
Your Friend,
Ben Cline
