Hi, friend, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I just got word from my finance director that unfortunately we fell about $5,500 short of our end-of-month fundraising goal. This is especially concerning because it really feels like our country is at an inflection point right now.

Our fundamental rights, from voting to reproductive freedom, are facing historic attacks on the local and national level. Gun violence is so rampant, it seems no community is safe; and yet, my Republican colleagues refuse to act. There is a supermajority on the Supreme Court with a clear conservative agenda.

It's a lot, I know. And with everything going on, it can be tempting to bury our heads in the sand and hope for it all to go away. But the hard truth is, these problems aren't going anywhere, so it's up to us to fight with everything we have for our rights and the future of our democracy.
