Team —
Let’s review where we are:
First, Donald Trump was charged with crimes related to falsifying business records.
Then, in June, he was indicted on federal crimes involving refusing to turn over
classified documents.
Now, prosecutors have added new charges, related to overt efforts to destroy evidence.
Oh, and also, Trump’s attorneys met with the Justice Department the other day, an indication that he may soon be charged with crimes over interfering with the 2020 election.
( That’s not to mention the Georgia DA who will soon decide whether to charge Trump for meddling in their election as well. And I didn’t even touch on the fact that a jury already found that he sexually assaulted a woman in the 90s.)
Right now, Trump is in (to put it in technical legal terms) deep doo-doo. And yet, a poll the other day found that he still holds a huge lead in the Republican presidential primary — with more than twice the support of anyone else. That same poll said that, if he faces President Biden in the general election, they’d be exactly tied.
Don’t ask me to explain how that’s possible. It’s ludicrous that Trump can be facing years in prison for committing multiple crimes but still have a coin-flip’s chance to become the president again.
Well, I’m not leaving it up to a coin flip. We’re building an operation to defeat Trump and his extreme MAGA allies in 2024, and I’m asking for your help. Will you chip in what you can to the cause? [[link removed]]
