Volunteer at Bonegilla Migrant Experience and enjoy the thrill of connecting people and caring for a place rich in Australian post-war migrant history.

As many know, the historic and unique location is the site of the former Bonegilla Migrant Reception and Training Centre, which operated between 1947 and 1971.

Bonegilla Migrant Experience brings to life the stories and experiences of the people who travelled through the centre. It is an intimate glimpse into the hopes and dreams of Australia’s post-war migrants. Today, one in 20 Australians have links to Bonegilla.

Open daily from 10am to 4pm, we’re looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help us share migrant stories and history, support us to deliver meaningful experiences and assist in hosting successful events.

All training is provided in a supportive environment.
