Grateful to Serve the 2nd District
I will continue to work hard every day to keep Americans safe, promote good-paying jobs, and help make our lives and communities stronger.
Constituent Organizations
Meeting and speaking with those who live and work in the Second District provides me a firsthand understanding of the issues affecting the many businesses, organizations, and individuals represented. I welcome the opportunity to listen to your needs and concerns, and my offices and I stand ready to help.
Whether in our Washington, Midlands, or Aiken/Barnwell offices, we want to hear from you, and our goals are to provide support however possible, whether it is an individual concern, or the issues are more broadly inclusive.
The following is a sampling of the groups representing our community that I have met with in the last few months. Please continue to check out our Facebook page for more photos and insight.

Six Months of House Republican Leadership
Six months ago, the American people swore in a Republican House majority to deliver our Commitment to America. On behalf of American families, we will fight to tackle inflation, lower the cost of living, defend national security, make America energy independent again, secure the Southern border, preserve our constitutional freedoms, restore the voice of the people, and much more. Highlights of our accomplishments, so far, include:
- Defunding expansion of up to 87,000 new IRS agents.
- Eliminating the Military Vaccine Mandate.
- Establishing the bipartisan committee to strengthen America against threats from Communist China.
- Establishing a subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
- Protecting America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve
- Passing the Parents’ Bill of Rights.
- Passing the Lower Energy Costs Act.
Peace Through Strength
I was grateful the House passed the 63rd annual National Defense Authorization Act. This is legislation that advances national security with peace through strength, supporting servicemembers, veterans, and their families.
Congress has a duty to support the Armed Forces of America as a primary function of the Federal Government, to provide for the common defense, which we cannot do for ourselves.
Highlights in this bill include: Promoting missions of the Savannah River Site for nuclear capability and deterrence, advancing the defense research projects at universities across the country, increasing servicemember pay by 5.2 percent, and supporting National Guard operations with border deployment.
