Right now, my self-funding Republican opponent, Brian Maryott, is spending several hundred thousand dollars on a series of Trumpian TV ads and mailers.

He’s aiming to keep the primary election close, or potentially even beat us, to put himself and our race in CA-49 at the top of the list to receive millions from the National Republican Congressional Committee and dark money groups.
