It’s the last day of July. There could be many things on your mind other than tonight’s fundraising deadline — but I hope you’ll hear me out for a moment.

At the end of each month, our team, including Emma and Pavitra, meets to review the amount we’ve raised and the number of donors who have chipped in — to see if we’re pacing at the rate we should be at this point ahead of the upcoming presidential election.

It may seem too early to be looking toward November 2024 right now, but as we all know, the race begins the day after the previous election. That means that we’re already eight months into this election cycle.

House Republicans in competitive districts gained an early financial advantage early in 2023, outraising Democrats by nearly 70%.

That’s why, at this juncture, I am asking for everyone on this team to stay just as vigilant as you have always been because if we show any signs that we’re slowing down, Republicans will capitalize on their momentum and pull even further ahead.
