This is Andrew, Field Director for Tamie Wilson—the Democrat taking on Jim Jordan.
Tonight is our end of month deadline, and I want to provide some insight into our budget and the robust field program we’re building to reach every voter in this district. We are so close to the monthly targets we absolutely must reach to stay on track, but we are still short $1,907 and need to close this gap before midnight tonight. (If you can help us get there, we so appreciate your support!)
But first, a few points about this race and what it will take to defeat Jim Jordan. Jordan is more vulnerable right now than ever before - the Supreme Court recently ruled for a group of former athletes at OSU who were victims of sexual abuse by an athletic doctor that Jim Jordan worked closely with when he was a wrestling coach there. His role enabling the sexual abuse at OSU, and shielding this predator from accountability, could be exposed very soon.
Jordan also faces liability for his part in attempting to overthrow our democracy after Trump lost the 2020 election. He and a small group of GOP lawmakers and advisers helped fuel the January 6 riot both before, during, and after the violent mob descended on the Capitol building at Trump’s direction. He may have defied a valid subpoena from the January 6th Committee, but he can’t run from the truth forever.
But a major part of this reckoning has to come from us—from those committed to justice and accountability, and from the voters who will decide Jordan’s political fate. That’s why we are asking for your help, and your financial contribution, John: we’re putting in the work, and we need your help to make sure we have the resources to run strong and win.
