What are Trump and his allies doing? The Washington Post has reported that Trump has already spent $40 million of his campaign war chest on legal defense funds. And the New York Times says he’s testing out new fundraising vehicles just to pay his lawyers.

That’s the advantage of not siding with lawless candidates who need to raise money to cover up their crimes. Now, with MAGA’s funds splintered between mounting legal fees and the upcoming election, we think this could really impact their ability to raise enough money for down-ballot races.

That could weaken their ability to hold the House and win the presidency.
