Team,
Representative democracy used to be something that both political parties in our country supported – but unfortunately, that is no longer the case.
We’re at the center of a battle with Republican politicians determined to seize unearned power by undermining free and fair elections. The stakes are very high, and that’s why I’m personally asking: Will you donate to the NDRC before the end-of-month deadline to help power our work?

Thanks to grassroots supporters like you, the NDRC’s fight for fairness is saving our democracy – and I mean that very literally. Together, we helped secure what the New York Times called the fairest House map of the last generation ahead of last November’s elections. Now, thanks to the Supreme Court’s decision in Allen v. Milligan, we have the opportunity to fight for even fairer maps before 2024.
That means our movement is facing a critical crossroads. If we recommit to our fight for fairness, we can ensure the next election takes place on a level playing field and ensure our Democratic candidates have a fair chance at victory. But Republicans are fighting tooth and nail to preserve their gerrymanders and roll back our progress – and if we grow complacent, they could succeed.
As Attorney General Eric Holder recently said, “Now is not the time to take our democracy for granted.”
I hope you’ll join the NDRC in doing everything we can to elect leaders who will protect the future of free and fair elections by making an urgent contribution before the end-of-month deadline. Anything you can give has the potential to make an incredible impact.
