Bottom Line: “On a broad scale, we need some form of human judgment in decision-making. We need some sense of transparency when it comes to understanding what AI is being used for and the data sets that are being used. We need to have a safety assessment. But I think the details of this really need to be worked out by people with deep knowledge of the issues… The tension underlying all of this is we don't want to overregulate our advantage in the AI race out of existence."

Bottom Line: “At a time when we are shelving defensive action in order just to talk to them, they continue their economic and cyber war against America.”

Bottom Line: “Congress needs to restore [the Foreign Agents Registration Act] to its original, critical function after the DC District Court’s absurd ruling last October defanged the statute. At a time when the [People’s Republic of China] and other adversaries are using foreign agents to mount influence campaigns and wantonly perpetrate transnational repression in our country, as an absolute baseline, we need to enforce FARA’s intended transparency standards in order to counter the CCP’s malign designs."

Bottom Line: “For too long, the Chinese Communist Party has exploited its presence in the Inter-American Development Bank to advance its own geopolitical, economic, and technological goals. Latin American citizens deserve to have the IDB serve their economic development, not as a vector of CCP malign influence.”
