Tonight marks our July end-of-month fundraising deadline, and we’re still coming up $5,780 short of our online fundraising goal. As a reminder, I’m not backed by corporate PACs, and our campaign relies on grassroots contributions to stay on track.

This month, we learned that my GOP opponent is self-funding his campaign, and campaign finance reports show he’s already loaned himself tens of thousands of dollars.

There’s no legal limit on the amount our opponent can loan himself, so we need to be ready in the event he decides to spend big. I’m already being hit with attacks from the national Republican Party, and we could be facing smears on two fronts sooner than you might think.

You’ve been there when we needed you most. Right now, we’ll need all hands on deck as we weather another tough election. In a district this close, every grassroots contribution will make a difference.
