These programs will provide schools access to fresh fruit & vegetables and opportunities for students to learn about urban farming and sustainability. Plus, farmers will have new market opportunities in Philly!

New funding will support programs like:

🍅 Pasa Sustainable Agriculture, based locally in East Kensington. Pasa will start one of the urban centers to educate people looking to build urban and community-focused farms and food systems.

🧑‍🌾 That's not all: USDA money will also go to the Patrick Leahy Farm to School Program and an expansion of the Healthy Food Financing Initiative!

🥕Weaver's Way Co-op, a member-owned cooperative grocery store in Germantown, recently received USDA support to renovate its long-closed storefront.

These new initiatives and investments are a direct result of Dwight's consistent support in Congress for strong schools, access to fresh food, and rebuilding America's cities.
