Last week, the White House released Trump's budget. Its contents are harmful to Texans and most Americans, and I wanted to make sure you saw this headline from the New York Times:

For us Texans this means our health care is on the line once again.

The Houston Chronicle is reporting that these budget cuts could cost our hospitals $11 billion dollars a year, forcing many of them -- especially those that serve rural communities, low-income Texans, and people of color -- to close down. That's my family.

It means tens of thousands of our friends, neighbors, family members, and other loved ones who are already struggling, will now have to go without access to care.

This is what's on the line this November. It's why we're fighting so hard to change the political landscape here in 2020 -- because we can't allow this to happen to our familia.
