Over the weekend, I met with volunteers to launch my nominating petition drive to get my name on the 2024 ballot. The importance of this next election is so critical and I know we must start now to prepare. Our petition launch over the weekend was the first step on my reelection campaign for Congress.

I need to be out in the district talking about the issues and what is at stake. When I met with volunteers this weekend, I could see their energy and concerns. We don’t have time to waste and we must begin our work now.

Democrats have really demonstrated what it looks like to lead, especially in Michigan. I am excited to join volunteers to reach out to voters and show them how Democrats are delivering for the people of Michigan and why their vote is so important so we can elect Democrats up and down the ballot next year, but first, we need to collect enough valid nominating petition signatures.

You know I don’t like asking you for money — it’s my least favorite part of my job. But I have an important end-of-month fundraising deadline today and our fundraising progress is directly tied to our signature collection effort and the amount of voter outreach work we can do next year.
