Last week, House Republicans passed their first government funding bill by a 219-211 vote.

Part of the bill would repeal the ruling that allows prescribed mifepristone abortion pills to be sold in pharmacies and by mail.

While the House GOP was busy scheming to control women’s bodies, Lauren was introducing the Convenient Contraception Act with Democratic Senator John Fetterman to expand contraception access and protect essential health care for millions of women.

As long as the GOP continues to attack women nationwide, we’ll continue creating solutions to protect women’s right to make decisions that affect their health, lives and futures.

It’s not difficult to identify which side of the aisle is looking out for our best interests. The problem is right now, Democrats are in the minority in the House and we must work to change that in the upcoming election to continue protecting our fundamental rights.
