Preserving manufactured/mobile home communities:
*Registry of eligible organizations* to"*?*"receive Notices of Opportunity to Compete to Purchase?
Mobile/manufactured home communities are one of few opportunities for affordable homeownership for many people, including low-income households and seniors. As part of our state's work under E2SSB 5198, Commerce has created a Registry for Eligible Organizations to receive Notices of Opportunity to Compete to Purchase these communities, or the property on which these communities sit.
An ?eligible organization? is defined as:
* Community land trusts
* Resident nonprofit cooperatives
* Local governments
* Local housing authorities
* Nonprofit community or neighborhood-based organizations
* Federally recognized Indian tribes in the state of Washington
* Regional or statewide nonprofit housing assistance organizations
We appreciate your advocacy for the preservation of this vital source of affordable housing, and encourage you to share this email with anyone you think might be interested.
