| John, On July 26, 1990, President George H.W. Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) into law. At the time, the ADA was the most sweeping affirmation of rights for disabled persons in America. Now over 30 years later, we celebrate the passage of the ADA during Disability Pride Month and honor the history, experiences, and achievements of the disability community.
