His family was told he would never walk. 

But Tyrone defied those long odds. He began walking at age 10. He later joined Special Olympics and started playing flag football. He trained, worked hard, and overcame huge limitations on and off the field. 

And he just didn’t stop: Last year, Tyrone and his powerhouse Special Olympics football team from Massachusetts competed at the USA Games in Orlando! It was a joyous and defiant milestone few had imagined for Tyrone. He described his experience in a one-of-its-kind speech during the Games Closing Ceremony…
