BREAKING: Trump's EPA just REJECTED a ban on a dangerous pesticide. Urge Congress to act where the administration won't and protect our families »
I'm horrified, friend. EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler just took a major step to weaken the EPA's ability to protect the health of our farmworkers and families from dangerous chemicals.
The science is overwhelming — even low exposure to chlorpyrifos chemicals can have devastating health impacts, including increased risk of cancers and developmental disabilities in children. Despite this clear scientific evidence,
Wheeler just directed the EPA NOT to ban chlorpyrifos — a move that goes against their own scientists and public health advocates.
LCV supporters like you have fought for years to keep this dangerous pesticide off of our food and out of our water and farming communities. But Dow Chemical and other corporate giants have pushed the EPA to go against the facts and keep these chemicals on the market, just to boost their bottom line.
There's hope: Congress has the power to permanently ban these dangerous chemicals and show Wheeler that he can't put polluter profits above the people — but that will only happen if enough of us speak out. Will you join us and urge your members of Congress to put our communities over big chemical companies?

Across the nation, 40,000 farms spray crops regularly with dangerous chlorpyrifos — everything from apples to almonds to strawberries.
And we are exposed as a result from residue on food, contaminated drinking water, and drift from farms. This makes the risk of poisoning — especially for communities of color and migrant communities that disproportionately work on or live near these farms — just too high.
The EPA exists to protect our health, families, and communities from dangers just like chlorpyrifos. And the science is there: A major Columbia University study recently confirmed just how devastating these pesticides are for our kids' health. But Wheeler rejected the findings of this study and others, and his agency took the side of corporate profits, not public health or the environment, by keeping chlorpyrifos legal.
We all deserve to be able to safely work, eat fresh fruits and vegetables, and drink water without fear of toxic pesticide contamination. That's why we must join together now to flood Congressional inboxes and demand that they ban toxic chlorpyrifos pesticides.
We need you to join the fight — tell Congress to do what Trump's EPA won't and protect our families from dangerous pesticides »
