Our democracy isn’t about “taking over this town.” It’s about representing the people of California’s 17th, hearing from them, and fighting to make their lives better. This election isn’t for sale, no matter how many wealthy donors you have.

Did you see this quote from Ro’s opponent yesterday? It’s absurd:

“I have big donors, wealthy donors, and then high profile people and so, I have huge support on the back end and that’s why I decided I can take over this town.”

Our democracy isn’t about “taking over this town.” It’s about representing the people of California’s 17th, hearing from them, and fighting to make their lives better. This election isn’t for sale, no matter how many wealthy donors you have.

If you want a representative who fights for the people, not wealthy special interests, will you donate to our reelection campaign? March 3rd is less than two weeks away!

This is just another example of the corrosive influence of money in our political system. Grassroots movements shouldn’t have to compete with dark money corporate spending, or floods of cash from wealthy elites.

But we do. Until we can finally overturn Citizens United, campaigns like ours have to compete against opponents who overwhelmingly pander to wealthy, powerful donors.

With your help, we can overcome. Our average donation is just $7.36 in 2020 — can you donate to help power our people-first movement?

Thanks for your support. With your help, we can make sure Ro is back in Congress to fight for an economy that works for all!
