I wanted to introduce myself: I’m Jasmine Smith and I’m the new Finance Associate on the Spanberger team. I’m working closely with Whitney and Bettina on our fundraising efforts.

Our team is laser-focused on one thing: Making sure that our campaign has the resources necessary to win re-election in November. 

I joined the team because I believe in Abigail. I was born and raised in the district – I grew up on an angus farm in Orange County and moved to the Lake Anna area when I was 12, so I understand the people who call Central Virginia home because I, too, call it home. 

When Abigail won in 2018, I was inspired by her character and her commitment to progressive policies and commonsense solutions. It was a goal of mine to work for her, and I am so happy to be part of the team!

I also joined this campaign because I know how important this particular race is this year.

Abigail represents one of the most challenging seats for Democrats to hold in the whole country. I know this firsthand from working on state elections and talking to my neighbors in the district. Donald Trump won this seat by nearly 7% in 2016, and national Republican groups have already spent close to a million dollars against us. That’s why we need your help today. >>>

When I joined the team, Whitney and Bettina told me we were in for a fight but our team is small but mighty. I am going to do everything that I can to make sure Abigail remains my representative in Congress and helps us hold the majority.
