This week, I took to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives to welcome one of the greatest fútbol players of all time, Lionel Messi!
Inter Miami FC is lucky to have such an amazing player on their team, and not just because of his stellar record. Messi proves to us through his actions and his determination that reaching your dreams REQUIRES hard work and patience.
No one understands this better than the residents of my District, who come from all over the world in search of the American Dream.

DEFENDING COLOMBIA FROM GUSTAVO
PETRO'S SOCIALIST TYRANNY

As Chairwoman of the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee, I am in a unique place on the House Foreign Affairs Committee to defend American interests abroad, particularly in Latin America.
Ever since his election, President Gustavo Petro of Colombia has threatened to turn his country into another Venezuela.
I was pleased to hear that officials in the Biden Administration share my concerns about President Petro's menacing policy goals, and that the United States will continue to defend our allies from the tyranny of socialism!
