I've always been a big reader, John. Growing up, my world was pretty small. I used to treat our local bookstore like a library, sitting there for hours, reading books cover to cover because I didn't have the money to buy them.

Reading opened my eyes to new perspectives, far-off places, and different career opportunities – it helped me dream big. Our kids deserve the same opportunity to learn and grow through books, but Ted Cruz and the GOP are fighting to ban books about anything that doesn't align with their far-right agenda.
