SEEC Members Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Greg Casar (D-T.X.) re-introduced the CHARGE Act in the House of Representatives last week. This bill would transform the United States’ power grid to be able to accommodate the upcoming wave of wind, solar, and other clean energy sources that will be coming from the investments made in the Inflation Reduction Act.
These policies are critical for America’s clean energy revolution because they would strengthen the grid and make green energy available and reliable across the country. But in order to see this bill through, we need to show that there’s massive grassroots support behind it. Will you join our SEEC Members in calling for turning our grid green?
America is starting to produce more and more clean energy, but with worsening storms and natural disasters due to climate change, our energy grid is still at risk. “That’s why we must pass the CHARGE Act,” said Representative Casar. “Every single family should be able to rely on their utilities.”
