I know you hear a lot from other campaigns about their urgent fundraising deadlines and how vital it is that they reach the goals they set.

I believe it’s essential that when making these asks, we provide some much-needed context.

My team and I are constantly strategizing and planning for the future. Our monthly fundraising goals are at the center of these discussions; what we can and can’t do to secure our victory depends on if we reach our goals. We don’t set our goals arbitrarily; we shape our path to winning with intent.

So when you hear from me or my team about how critical reaching our fundraising goal is, know that we are being genuine. We appreciate your support too much to be anything less than 100% honest about where our campaign is headed.
