I’m Angie, representing Minnesota’s 2nd district in Congress. Lauren and I were both part of the incoming 2018 class of House Democrats, and she asked me to reach out to you today to share my story.

Here’s something you may not know: I lost the first time I ran for Congress in 2016.

I’ll be honest, John, it was a tough loss. I was ready to get to work to serve my community. But my opponent defeated me by fewer than 7,000 votes — so I shook off the dust and ran again in 2018. This time, I won, unseating the Republican incumbent who beat me two years before. And at the same time, Lauren unseated her four-term Republican opponent in IL-14, cementing a Democratic House majority.

It’s thanks to our grassroots teams that we won again in 2020 and 2022 — but it wasn’t easy. Our race last November was the most expensive congressional contest in Minnesota history.

It’s deeply important to me to finish the work we’ve started together. My priority has always been listening to the concerns of the citizens I represent and working across the aisle to create stronger communities and an economy that works for every Minnesotan.

We’ve done so much to achieve that — helping families and small businesses recover from the pandemic, investing in our country’s infrastructure and passing legislation to cap the cost of insulin at $35 a month and cut costs at the grocery store and the gas pump.

So I’m reaching out to you today because we’re counting on your support to help restore our Democratic House Majority.

I was up against millions in spending from special interests and super PACs determined to roll back our progress in 2022, and the attacks from the National Republican Congressional Committee have already started.

So much is at stake in this election and anything you give will make a huge difference. Before our fundraising deadline expires tomorrow, will you split a donation of $10 between my campaign and Lauren Underwood to keep MN-02 and IL-14 blue and take back the House? [[link removed]]
