July 2023 Race Update: Ohio’s First Congressional District

1. Extreme Republicans are hopping in the race to challenge Greg. Our first Republican challenger jumped in the race last week – and he’s the same level of chaos and extremism that we defeated last year.


2. The momentum is on our side, but that means we’re more of a target. Our race was just upgraded from “Toss Up” to “Lean Democrat”, showcasing the power and strength of this grassroots team. But now, Republicans are going to fight harder than ever before to flip this seat back to red.


3. With so much at stake, we can’t take our foot off the gas. The future of reproductive freedom, gun violence prevention, and democracy itself hinges on what happens here in OH-01 – because we know a Democratic House Majority runs through the district. And with so much on the line, there’s no room to slow down.
