Hi John,
58 years ago today, President Johnson signed Medicare and Medicaid into law. These programs have served as a critical lifeline for tens of millions of seniors, families, women, children, people with disabilities, and Americans at all stages of life.
In the decades since, Democrats have continued to fight for more affordable and accessible health care. In-state and nationally, Democrats have taken on Big Pharma , passed legislation to allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices , protected consumers from unfair medical debt , and lowered prescription drug costs .
Donate today to help Democrats continue to strengthen Medicare and Medicaid so Americans can access affordable healthcare! [[link removed]]

Yet today, as was the case when Medicare and Medicaid were created, Republicans are working to undermine and gut these popular government programs. In fact, the leading GOP candidates for president all support cuts to Medicare and Medicaid.
As MAGA Republicans continue to attack healthcare, your Connecticut Democratic leadership in Washington and here at home will keep fighting to protect Medicare, Medicaid, and access to affordable, quality care.
If we want to see these popular programs 58 years from now, we need to fight like crazy today. Please chip in whatever you can afford today. [[link removed]]
Best,
Sarah Locke
