Hi there,
A few weeks ago we reached out about our fight to save Minor League Baseball teams like the Lowell Spinners.
To start off, I want to thank you all for your support so far. I was blown away by your commitment to save local teams like ours -- and the communities that benefit from their success.
I wanted to give you a quick update on where we are with these efforts.
We recently hosted a Save the Spinners community meeting in Lowell, in which leaders from the city and MiLB, as well as local business leaders came together to discuss the importance of protecting our team and the minor leagues.
Every corner of our community voiced support for saving the Spinners. Why? Because they are a cultural and economic pillar of our community, and we need to make sure they are here to stay.
The Today Show even aired a segment on our efforts this week -- take a look!

While MLB executives have yet to reach a decision as to whether or not they'll cut the 42 minor league affiliate teams, one thing is clear: your voice in this conversation is crucial.
We've been able to gather a lot of attention and support from across communities like Lowell, so I'm looking forward to keeping you updated as this issue moves forward. That includes updates on the bipartisan resolution I introduced a few weeks ago to continue to articulate that Congress must have its voice heard in this matter.
