I’m a lifelong Marylander, mom, former elected prosecutor, and County Executive of Prince George’s County, and now I’m running to become Maryland’s next United States Senator!
Look, I know you’re busy and you probably don’t have time to read some long, drawn-out explanation for why I’m sending this email about my campaign, John.
So instead, I’ll just get right to it: July is coming to a close in just 2 days and we’re well off the pace to hit our monthly fundraising goal. The truth is, we’re running against a self-funded, multi-millionaire who has invested $10 million of his own money into his campaign and is already up with TV ads across Maryland.
So, long story short: We’re well behind the 8-ball here, John.
But that’s OK. Because I truly believe in the ability of this grassroots team to come together and outwork any wealthy millionaire who thinks they can buy their way into the U.S. Senate.
