John — do you believe that we the people should decide the outcome of elections here in North Carolina? We bet you do. And so do Roy Cooper and Democratic leaders across the state.

But Republicans in Raleigh clearly have a different idea.

NC GOPers would like to make it so that some voters have a harder time casting ballots — and so the GOP supermajority in the General Assembly has the final say on contested election outcomes.

Meanwhile, they’re planning to rig electoral maps with extreme partisan gerrymandering to keep incumbent Republicans in office.

These radical legislators are determined to steal the power from the people and give it all to themselves. We won’t allow it.
