John,

Healthy salmon runs benefit people and animals across the state – from the Upper Columbia River to the marine waters of the Salish Sea. Since time immemorial, Indigenous people have replied upon salmon for physical and cultural sustenance.

Now, the survival of salmon is at stake. The four lower Snake River dams remain a threat to salmon extinction, as well as the people and animals that rely on them. Federal lawmakers must act boldly to restore and recover the salmon runs.

With the continued leadership of Washington Senators, we must restore healthy and abundant salmon in the Columbia and Snake Rivers. We must provide a long-overdue measure of justice and uphold treaties for Northwest Tribes. We must ensure a successful transition of the services provided by the dams to a strong and robust future in the Northwest that works for all.

Thank you for your advocacy for salmon and for all the communities that depend on them.
